Blue Orange Green Pink Purple

Beginning week three - Temples, aquariums and children

So this week has been pretty action packed, and I even think that there is stuff from the week before I have yet to talk about. Better get started.

First thing's first. HERE IS A PICTURE! or a few actually. It's been far too long... (never)
On Thursday, which is my day off, I took a trip M50 which is a area full of modern art galleries. I actually thought that it was one big art gallery and I spent a good 30 minutes walking up and down the street looking for a big building, aka something like the tate modern etc. It took a while but I did finally figure out that M50 was actually the name of a series of small art gallerys. Duhhh. Anyway here are some of the pictures...

The only piece of art I took a picture of is that robotwomen thing. Only because I thought it was so hilarious/aweful it needed one. Most of the time I couldn't really do it because there was always a person in the rooms.
But anyway continuing on my journey I tried to fit in another sight before returning home. This time I wanted to see Longhua temple which is apparently the most active buddist temple in shanghai. Or maybe it's the oldest temple. Either way it's meant to be bloody good. So here's the pictures...

Sadly I didn't quite make it in time and visiting hours weree overrrr. But those are the pictures of the pagoda nearby

One day last week we went to an aqaurium too. I can't remember what day it actually was but it was quite intresting. Here's a nice video to show the jellyfish...

When I said China, did you say itinerary? Thought so.
So the plan, the massive plan is as follows:
I'm flying out on Friday the 13th of February, quite an omen if you ask me, and I arrive 19 hours later after a 11 hour flight in Shanghai Pu dong airport on valentines day.
I get met by Jessie, who I imagine will become essentially my Chinese deity, keeping me safe from harm and the like.

    But then what happens?
I'm teaching in a school didn't you know. Until like the end of June. Then I'm gonna travel around a bit, go to japan stuff like that...
